Hundreds of kids from the war-stricken areas of Mindanao were flown to Manila to participate in the annual “Football for Peace” festival which aims to develop these kids to become future leaders by instilling in their hearts and minds the values of discipline, sportsmanship, teamwork and camaraderie through the sports of football.
Football for Peace program started out in the grassy field of Zamboanga when a group of kids requested a team of soldiers who are playing at that time if they can join them in playing football… and from then on this advocacy was born with a vision of “Winning the War by Winning the Peace”.
