 SM Mall of Asia proudly introduces  the MOA EYE, the Tallest and the Biggest Ferris Wheel in the Philippines as it was opened to the public recently. Situated at the SM Mall of Asia Complex, Amusement Park at the Bay in Pasay City. 

SM MOA EYE is considered the  Biggest and the Grandest of its kind, with 55 meters in diameter that you can actually still see it even your  afar. With 36 fully air-conditioned gondolas, where each can accommodate 6 persons---- enough space for friends and families to enjoy and bond together. It also has 6 VIP gondolas that can be rented out for special occasion.

SM MOA EYE is patterned after the London Eye of England and Singapore Flyer of Singapore. And it is to be the new tourist attraction in the Philippines that will help promote our country in the field of entertainment and amusement.  Text and Images by Ricky Castillo

UN to mobilize emergency response to Tropical Storm ‘Sendong’


On behalf of the Philippine Humanitarian Country Team and the international humanitarian community, acting UN Humanitarian Coordinator Soe Nyunt-U will appeal for support to help the Government of the Philippines to provide life-saving assistance to more than 471,000 people severely affected by the devastating Tropical Storm Sendong. The priority needs are water, food, sanitation and hygiene services and facilities, temporary shelter and debris clearance.

Dr. Soe visited Cagayan de Oro and Iligan cities in Northern Mindanao Region on 20 and 21 December to see firsthand the humanitarian situation in the worst-affected areas. He also met with Government representatives, aid organizations and communities affected by this tragic natural disaster.
