Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has scheduled a lineup of events for
American Idol runner-up and Filipino-American vocal powerhouse Jessica Sanchez
who is back in Manila for a series of shows and activities that will culminate
in a Valentine’s concert for her Filipino fans.
“We are happy to once again have the
talented Jessica Sanchez in our country and we are proud that she’s doing a
great job embodying Smart’s ‘Jump In’ philosophy,” said Emmanuel Lorenzana,
Smart’s executive vice president and head of wireless consumer division.
The international singing s
ensation,
who also is the company’s latest youth ambassador, will “spread the message of
positivity and empowerment” as expressed in her Smart Jump In music video with
fellow international Pinoy icon and Smart ambassador apl.de.ap of the Black
Eyed Peas.
“I’m
happy to be sending a message out to kids my age to just live life and have
fun, have no worries and just go for what you want,” said Jessica Sanchez
in an interview during the making of her Smart Jump in music video which, as of
this writing, is nearing 1 million views on YouTube.
For
this visit, Jessica is involved not only in performing and interacting with
fans but also in supporting Smart’s advocacies for the youth.
Earlier
today, she dropped by Epifanio Delos Santos Elementary School in Singalong,
Manila for the Read to be Smart program – one of Smart’s education advocacies
that involves storytelling sessions to help young kids develop the love for
reading.
Later
today, Smart will be holding a grand fans party at the SM North EDSA Skydome
entitled “Jump In Bash with Jessica Sanchez.” Her supporters will be treated to
fun games, contests and music. Winners of tickets to her Valentine’s show will
also be announced.
In
the next days, Jessica will join the Smart Jump In school tour at the
University of Sto. Tomas in Manila. Smart will also bring the young achiever to
the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City for an appearance at
the 2013 UP Fair.
